England

Whether you’re organising your own walk with friends and family, or joining a Ramblers group walk, the travel restrictions are the same: you should not travel to or from Tier 3 (Very High Alert) areas, including neighbouring Tier 3 areas, either to start your walk or as part of your walk.

As long as you stick to the travel restrictions, the following activities are possible in all tiers:

  • Walking with family & friends: You can walk outdoors with up to six people from six households.
  • Ramblers group walks: Covid-secure organised group walks can take place in all tiers, for up to 30 people in line with UK government guidelines. Please check with your local group to find out what walks are taking place.
  • Ramblers path maintenance: Covid-secure activities can restart – please check with your local group.
  • Other Ramblers activities: Covid-secure activities can restart – please check with your local group. AGMs must be held online.
