Please send this email on to as many members as possible. I pre-walked my route at the end of the week and have discovered a couple of issues. The
meeting point was the village hall. There is new signage threatening
clamping for unauthorised parking. I tried to contact the Canewdon
Community Association but I didn’t get a response. I suggest you all
park as usual in the village and we congregate in the car park behind
The Anchor at 10am. One section of the walk is
obstructed by a broken stile and two chained gates. I am not sure if
everyone in the group is confident in clambering over them so I have
devised a detour. Unfortunately it adds to the length of the walk. Be
prepared to do 7 miles. It also requires a slightly longer period on a
road. If anyone has reflective clothing please bring it along so that
the group is clearly visible to traffic, especially if the weather is
gloomy. Please don’t be put off. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Helen McBride |
